Job Summary:
UPMC Community Provider Svcs is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Tech Infusion to help support the RXPLT-Bridgeville Pharmacy Department for its Rx Partners location.
Assist independently the Pharmacy Operations Manager and Pharmacist in the performance of technical, medication preparation, and clerical duties involved in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy including compounding and quality control activities related to the compounding suite, as allowed by law and/or regulation.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and maintain expected productivity
- Cooperate with other staff members when planning and organizing pharmacy services
- Need good organizational and time-management skills
- Able to and take initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction
- Prioritize activities needed to be done
- Understand and adhere to all applicable State, local, and Federal laws and/or regulations;
company policies and procedures; external accreditation/review standards
- Maximize the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations
- Assist the pharmacist with the compounding of intravenous solutions according the
principles of strict aseptic technique
- Check and maintain inventory levels and places items on order log as necessary
- Check for expired/unusable products on a routine basis and disposes of them properly
- Organize and files pharmacy documentation
- Annotate batch records used for preparation of sterile admixtures with lot numbers and
calculations
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly logs per policy
- Perform and records various quality control activities including air sampling, bacteria
counts and sterility testing. Report all positive results to the pharmacy manager
immediately
- Ensure the clean room suites and related equipment are cleaned and maintained per
organizational policy and procedure
- Participate in departmental Performance Improvement Activities as requested
- Set high goals or standards of performance for self

- Package medications utilizing pharmacy computer system, barcode scanning to insure every prescription is filled with
correct product (NDC). When necessary to change NDC insure NDC used is a therapeutic interchange with original NDC (AB
rated). Always verifying process with a pharmacist

Basic Qualifications:
- Completion of High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician including I.V. preparation, pharmaceutical
and related medical terminology standards and aseptic technique required

Licensure/Certifications:
- Pharmacy technician certification preferred

Job Summary:
UPMC Community Provider Svcs is hiring a full-time Driver to help support the RXPLT-Bridgeville Pharmacy Department for its Rx Partners location in Bridgeville.
To maintain, clean and drive the UPMC Health Van to the various community events, emergency responses and educational programs throughout Western Pennsylvania. |

Responsibilities:
- Assist in packing up narcotic orders in totes
- Drive Rx Partners-LTC owned vehicle in a responsible manner and inform management of any needed vehicle maintenance
- Act in a responsible manner when making deliveries as a representative of Rx Partners-LTC and report any problems to on call pharmacist or supervisor
- Open tote at facility accompanied by a facility representative and assist in checking the delivery
- Pick up returned medications and paperwork on a daily basis
- Operate Rx Partners-LTC owned cell phone for business purposes or emergencies only
- Exchange emergency boxes on a regular scheduled basis
- Bulk packages medications as assigned and assists technicians with medication packaging as required
- Attend cycle exchanges as required
- Act as a team member with all employees and customers of Rx Partners-LTC
- Perform any other work related tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Screening potential venues for suitable access, parking and utilities
- Driving UPMC SMART Unit.
- Cleaning and minor maintenance of vehicle and trailer to make suitable for public display
- Repair and maintenance of simulation and other training equipment
- Demonstrates UPMC Prehospital Care values of service, pride, integrity, respect and
teamwork
- Demonstrates UPMC Prehospital Care values of service, pride, integrity, respect and teamwork
- Consistently convey a favorable image of UPMC Prehospital Care to the public
- Organizing equipment and supplies on trailer and maintains par stock
- Assisting in health screenings, continuing medical education, and mass gatherings planning and operations
- Assist with other UPMC Prehospital Care programs as requested
- Always lock totes before leaving the pharmacy with a numbered lock and open in front of
nursing staff at facility
- Pick up pharmacy order from warehouse and HC pharmacy as assigned
- Receive pharmacy orders into the pharmacy computer system
- Assist with putting stock onto shelves as required
- Deliver medications to patients homes, always respecting their needs and privacy, utilizing
UPMC owned vehicles and GPS systems. Making sure to contact patient/family to notify of
arrival time
- Make deliveries as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum High School education requires dependable personal transportation, flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, available for emergency responses.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
|

Licensure/Certifications:
PA Driver's License in good standing
